FCWA’s Healthy Relationship Workers visit secondary schools across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and deliver sessions to 11-16 year olds, either via classroom lessons or during assemblies. Alongside mainstream secondary schools, workers also visit special education needs schools and pupil referral units to ensure the work reaches all young people across all three areas. All of the sessions delivered are in line with the PSHE curriculum and also meet some of the outcomes outlined in the Statutory RSE Guidance. Each school is offered at least 20 hours of delivery per academic year.
Targeted group work for young people who are identified by schools as needing extra support can be provided.
Some of the sessions offered include:
▪ Understanding Consent
▪ Introduction to Domestic Abuse
▪ Gender Stereotypes and Inequalities
▪ Online Behaviours, Relationships and Digital Footprint
