FCWA is delighted to announce that the organisation has been successful in being reaccredited by SafeLives. We are so proud of our hardworking and dedicated IDVA team that is continuously working hard to ensure that the IDVA service meets the set standards for supporting victims of domestic abuse.
The SafeLives ‘Leading Lights’ status is the mark of quality for domestic abuse services. The accreditation programme sets a benchmark to evaluate our service effectiveness, and it illustrates the high standards of work that we deliver to families, children, and adults affected by domestic abuse.
The process assesses domestic abuse victim services across four key areas: service provision; multi-agency working; HR; and governance. This included a review of operational protocols, evidencing risk-led case management in policy and in practice, an external audit of case files, staff interviews and demonstrating effective multi-agency working. FCWA is one of 50 ‘Leading Lights’ services supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse in the UK and will remain in place for another three years until 2023.
Well done team!
